1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account and using SkipperLog, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

SkipperLog is a personal sailing logbook application that allows you to:

• Record and manage sailing voyages and daily logs
• Track nautical miles, time at sea, and ports visited
• Manage sailing licenses and certificates
• View personal sailing statistics
• Export voyage logs as PDF documents

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You may not share your account with others.

4. Your Data

All sailing data, voyage logs, and other content you enter into SkipperLog remains your property. We do not claim ownership of your data. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you record.

SkipperLog is a personal logbook tool. It is not intended as an official navigational record for legal, insurance, or regulatory purposes without independent verification.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data
• Interfere with the security or availability of the service
• Submit false or misleading information

6. Service Availability

We strive to keep SkipperLog available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to perform maintenance, updates, or modifications to the service at any time.

7. Limitation of Liability

SkipperLog is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any loss of data.

In particular, SkipperLog is not liable for any decisions made based on the data recorded in the app, including navigational decisions.

8. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile page. Upon deletion, all your personal data will be permanently removed within 30 days. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by applicable European Union law. Disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable consumer protection regulations in your country of residence.
